Good Faith Estimate
last updated Feb 20, 2025
At Kinship Counseling Collective, we believe in transparent, accessible, and equitable care. As part of the No Surprises Act, we provide Good Faith Estimates to help you understand the costs of therapy before beginning services.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
A Good Faith Estimate outlines the expected costs of your therapy services. This ensures that you have a clear understanding of session fees, potential total costs, and any additional services you may choose to engage in.
Who Receives a Good Faith Estimate?
All clients who are paying out-of-pocket (not using insurance).
Clients who request an estimate before beginning therapy.
Those receiving therapy services over an extended period of time.
Estimated Costs for Therapy Services
Fees for therapy vary based on session type, length, and provider, but a typical range is:
Individual Therapy: $100 – $230per session
Couples & Family Therapy: $100 – $395 per session
Clinical Supervision: $100 – $200 per session
Your total cost will depend on the frequency and duration of your sessions. For example, if you continue therapy for a year, a weekly session at $100 per session could total approximately $4,000 – $ 5,200 annually.
Your Rights Under the No Surprises Act
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate before committing to therapy.
You have the right to dispute a bill if you are charged significantly more than the estimate provided.
Estimates are valid for 12 months, but costs may change based on your needs and length of therapy.
